TOWN v. COUNTRY.
DUNED'IN, August 2. Tbe "Country Rugby Week" was concluded on Saturday, when a team of town playera played a pioked tftam from four oouutry teams, Vincent, Ncrth Otago, and South Otago. Tho game resulted in a win for the town team by 12 points to 5. The form shown on both sides was poorer than was anticipated. The following players have been selected to represent Otago in their Nortcern tour:—Backs: Chambers, Davidson (Vincent), Dwyer (Vincent), Booth, Ongley (North Otago), Dougherty, Eokold, Kiug, Clarke; forwards: Reia, Casey, Spiers, Lntzpatriok, Paton, McDonald, Abbott, McKenzie, Given, Forteous, Donniston.
The Wellington B representative team beat Horowhenua, at Wellington, on Saturday, by 30 pointa to 8. In the School representative match, at Wellington, on Saturday, Wairarapa beat Wellington by (3 points to 3. A match will be played at Carterton on Thursday nest, between the Wairarapa Thursday and Wellington Wednesday representatives.
