A REMARKABLE ESCAPE,

NEW YORK, August 31. An exoiting Bcene occurred at a balloon ascent at Middleton, near New York. An aeronaut, named Miss 1 Daly, was making an ascent, when a rope whirled among the orowd. The loop caught a young lady, named Miss Ropo-r, round the leg, and she was carried head downwards a thousand feet in the air. Miss Daly eventually succeeded in seizing her, and releasing the gas in the balloon they descended safely.
