A "DEATH FOR DEATH" SOCIETY. GENERAL MINN'S FUNERAL. Received August 30, 8.40 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, August 29. A secret society has been formed in St. Petersburg, named "Death for Death." It threatens to avenge the death of General (3 Wonlarski, who was assassinated the other day. The pall-bearers at the funeral of General Minn, another victim of assassination, included the Grand Duke Nicholas. A MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE. Reoeived August 30, 10.23 p.m. LONDON, August 30. King Edward, condoling with the widow of General Minn, who wee assassinated, telegraphed as follows: —"I am dismayed at this terrible occurrence." DISCOVERY OF A BOMB FACTORY. Reoeived August 30, 8.45 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, August 29. a man and woman defended a Riga bomb factory against the police with rifles and bombs until both were shot. A quantity of revolutionary literature and explosives was seized. THE BOMB OUTRAGE AT APOTHECARY ISLAND. Reoeived August 30, 10.20 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, August 30. The revolutionaries expeoted the Grand Duke Niobolas and M. Pobiedonostzeff to confer with M. Stolypin respecting certain documents seized at Moscow, including the register of conspirators, at the Premier's residence at Apoibecaiy Island. The conspirators resolved to blow up the house, hoping to destroy the papers. On the pretext of seeking an audience one of the conspirators obtained admission to tbe bouee. He mistook a number of Generals for the intended viotims, and signalled to hie associates to prooeed with the throwing of the bombs. SITUATION VERY GRAVE. Received August 30, 10.20 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG August 30. M. Stolypin, the Premier, describes the situation in Russia as graver than" at tbe end of the reign of Alexander 11. He believed that most Russians will now recognise that it is difficult for the Government to avoid a path of reaotion. A VEHEMENT ADDRESS. THE CZAR WARNED. NOT TO GRANT CONSTITUTIONAL CONCESSIONS. A FIRM LEADER WILL RESTORE ORDER. ENTIRE ABOLITION OF THE DUMA ADVISED.
Received August 30, 10.55 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, August 30. The Black Gang and Monarchists, whose propaganda the Government will assist with treasury funds, met at Moscow, and adopted a vehement address warning the Czar not to grant constitutional concessions which were calculated to undermine the nation's voluntary subjection to autocracy, and deoiaring that a firm leader, with the suprort of the army, was still able to restore peaoe and order, though the corruption of troops' was proceeding rapidly. Tbey further advised the entire abolition of the Duma and the dismissal of the majority of the Council of the State, who sympathised with the Duma.
