AN EXPERIMENTAL FARM.

PROPOSAL SUPPORTED BY THE WAIRARAPA P. AND A. SOCIETY.

At the meeting of the General Committee of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society, at Greytowm, on Friday, a letter was reqeived from the Masterton branch of the [New Zealand Farmers' Union, urging that the time had arrived f.or the establishment of an experimental farm in the Wairarapa, and suggesting that the Masterfcon and Wairarapa Pastoral Societies, and the various branoheß of the Farmers' Union in the Wairarapa should approach the Government on the subject. After the matter bad been briefly discussed it was resolved to support the proposal. Mr Q. Donald was appointed to xepresent the Sooiety on the proposed deputation to the Government.
