MR ALLAN'S RESIGNATION, FRICTION BETWEEN THE COMMISSIONERS. By Telegraph -Press Association. GHRISTOBUROH, August 13. Following is tbe text of Mr i<oberb Allan's letter of resignation:— IChriatohuroh, August 7, 1906. The Hon. the Minister in Obarge of the Exhioition, Wellington. Dear Sir, —1 respeotfully desire to resign ray appointment as an executive eopamisßioner of the New Zealand International Exhibition. I have not been well for some time, and my dooior insists un my taking a holiday. I shall, therefore, be glad if you will make arrangements, to relieve me as early as convenient. I have acted as commissioner since November 7th last. The duties have been exaoting and not rendered the more pleasant from the fact that I did not get on well with my fellow commissioner. These difficulties were known to our late Premier and to the Hon. J. M'Gowan. Had I enjoyed my usual health I miehfc have been able to battle against them, but I now feel that I cannot afford to ignore my doctor's advice. With a sinoere desire for the success of the Exhibition, I have the honour to be, yours faithfully, Robert Allan.
