NEW ZEALAND BOXING ASSOCIATION.

At the oonferetiao of delegates of the New Zealand Boxing Council, the* matter of altering Offences Amendment Act in the direction of placing the control of boxing in the bands of tbe Council, and also it illegal to hold a competition of any liind without the consent of the local centre committee, provoked a lengthy discussion, and ultimately it was decided ttoal the Government should be approached in the directions mentioned. The representatives unanimously agreed that the Australasian championships should be continued and that the Council's representative at the coming conference in Sydney sbuuld endeavour to have a new agreement drawn ai ou lines that would be more' fnvouiable to New Zealand than the old one. It was also decided that iNew Zealand favoured the weighing of competitors on tLe first night only of a competition, and that tbe number of roundsshould.be six of two minutes each. The question of a standard make of glove was considered, and the meeting favoured samples being procured from English, Australian and New Zealand makers.

Irezise (Ashburton) a bye. Final: Godfrey beat Tre.zise. Lightweight —Second round: A. Parker (Dunedin) beat A. J. Blewden; E. Magey (Chrifltchurch) a bye. Final: Magey 'beat Parker. Middleweight—Socond round: J. Moloney (Wellington) beat J. Brennand (Timaru); A. Nasb (Chriatchiircb) beat H. Wolff (Wellington); Jean Shaw (Cbristohurch) a bye. Semi-flual: Shaw beat Maloney. Final: Nash beat Shaw. .Heavyweight—Second round: E. W. Pearson (Wellington) beat T. C. Lewis (Auckland). Final: Pearson beat W. J. Robertson (Ashburton).
