ANNUAL SOCIA.L.
Tne annual social of the Masfcerton Morris Tube Association was held last evening, in the Drill Hall. Mr O. Perry presided, and there was a large attendance of members. A very enjoyable evening was spent. The followiug toasts were honoured:—"The King," the Chairman; "Masterton Rifle Volunteers," Mr W. Winslade—Mr D. A. Morton; "Opaki Eifle Club," Mr A. Pickering—Messrs R. J. King and J. Henry; "Masterton Morris Tube Association," the Chairman—Messrs H. Brigbtiug and L. H. Lewis; "Donors of Trophies," Mr A. O. Levien—Messrs R. J. King and -J. Henry; "Ladies," Mr W. Rodmoud —Mr R Henry; "The Press," the Chairman.
The trophies won during the year were presented as follow:—Renal! Cup, Mr H. Erighting; also the handsome cup presented by Mr F. Whitcon. Grand Aggregate Handicap, Mr J. Allan 1 (Mr A. C, Major's tropby), Mr H. Perry 2 (Mr R. E. Jones' prize). Burridgo Trophy, Mr W. Winslade. Cochrane Trophy, Mr W. D. Aysou. Messrs King and Henry's Prize, Mr u. Urightiug. Mr L. H. Lewis, the secretary, was presented by the Chairman, on behalf of the Association, with a handsome flower eperenu and butter dish. Mr Lewis suitably acknowledged the presentation.
During the evening a number of musical items were rendered, Mr W. Biggs presiding at the piano. In the Renall Cup Competition the highest scores were:—H. Brighting 195, H. Perry 194, J. Henry 193, W. Winslade 191, R, J. King 189, E. J. Frost 185, MoNabb 182, J. Allan 182, C. Perry 181, A. Dawes 181.
Tbe highest scores iu the Graud Aggregate Match were:—tl. Brightiug 195, H. Perry 19*. J. Henry 194, J. Allan 194, VT. Wiuslade 193, K. J. King ID2, W.fßurridge 192, A. Piokering 191, A. Dawes 190, JB. G. Frost 190, W. Eedmcmd 190.
