EDUCATION BOARD ELECTION.

WELLINGTON, August 7.

The Education Board election (the first held under the Ward system) resulted ns follows:—City Ward—W.' Allan, 86; R. Lee, 77; Rev. Evana, 61; J. Wisbart, 41 (first three elected). Wairarapa Ward—A. Vile, 279; A. W. Hogg, 275; W. O. Buchanan, 212;, N. Moßobie, 122; E. Feist, 102; Rev. J. MoCaw, 101; J. T. M. flornsby, 100; A, Reese, 79; A l . Barrell, 45 (first three elected). Manawatu and flutt Ward—W. H. Field, J. Hebbell and T. W ; McDonald were, re-eleated unopposed. All the retiring members of the Board were re-elected with the exception of Mr Feist. The Rov. Mr Evana is the new member of the Board. There were 467 valid votes and 27 invalid votes in connection with Wairarapa Ward, and 92 valid votes and 4 invalid votes in connection with the Oity Ward.
