BOARD OP MANAGEMENT MEETING.

The Hoard of Management of the Y.M.C.A. met at the Rooms, last evening, Mr P. L. lloliings, presiding. The following members were present:-—Messrs A. J. Parton, O. 0. Feist, H. Inns, A. D. Low, W. E. Chamberlain, D. E. Parton and A. Donald. The report of the Speoial Committee, consisting of Messrs D. E. Farton and A. Donald, was submitted. On the recommendations of the Committee, a Gymnasium Com mittee, consisting of Messrs A. J. Parton (convenor), B. Donald, D. McNally, E. • Tuoby, A. Donald, and D. E. Parton, was appointed to make immediate arrangements to «reot apparatus and start evening classes, so as not to clash with the work of the local Gymnasium Club. The matter of procuring a piano, and arranging social evenings, was left in the hands of Messrs Inns, Chamberlain and the Secretary. The Secretary was instructed to communicate with a number of ladies with a view to forming an auxiliary onmmittee for the purpose of carrying out sooial work in connection' with the institution. The Library Committee was requested to consider'the formation of a reference library and report to the Board as sonn as practicable. A motion i;o reduoe the subscriptions from £1 and 10s to 10s and 5s pei. annum was lobt.

The disouesion on the President's motion to consider the advisableness of engaging a general secretary at a stated salary for carrying out the more important, work connected with the institution was deferred.
