BUSINESS ENTERPRISE.
MR ALEX: DONALD. To-day Mr Alex. Donald, tailor and costumier, will enter into his new brick premises, adjoining Mr 0. E. Dauiell's establishment, in Queen Street. The new buildings are a result of tho decided increase in Mr Donald's business, the old premises proving too small for the large staff now engager). Mr Donald's business iu this town is no doubt due to the fact that he gained his experience iu some of the best houses at Home, and iu adlition to this he made a special study of "cutting" iu all its branched, for whijh particular lino he is the holder of first-class diplomas. The new premises are imposing aud com modions, and are attractively fitted up nnd stocks I tu their fullest capacity with the newest and most serviceable gonds. There are two fine show windows i, the trout, the oiio ou the left of tho wain uonrway being for the ladies' department, aud the one on tho right for gentlemen's tailoring. Both windows are spacious, aud specially designed for displaying goods to the best advantage. The attractive appearance of the front is further fiiihauo<-d by floor tiles of pleasing pattern, which lead up to the doorway. The main shop, besides tning roomy and replete with the necessary fittings, is thoroughly well lighted, special attention having been paid to this !no-t important matter. In having tho building erected Mr Donald stipulated for fitting rooms, for both ladies and gentlemen, and tho arrangement is certainly a good one. The back portion of the building is talceu up with tho workroom, which is 16 x 37 in size, aud is capable of accommodating a staff ot twenty hands. It is an ideal workroom, and is exceptionally well lighted by means of four Marge roof lights. As regards general stuck, Mr Donald has just landed a large stock of every description of the latest goods, acd a cordial invitation is extended to patrons to call and inspect tho jitock.
