The South Australian Agricultural Department is to be asked to prohibit tbe importation of New Zealand potatoes, because of the dauber of the potato disease reaching the States.

The Police Commisaion's report states that the charges of corruption and compounding felonies had u'ot been proved. Drastic recommendations are made for an improvement in discipline. The report states that the proportion of oiimo aotualiy undetected is abnormal, aud the commission also recommends that further power be given to the -police to suppress gambling.
