THE 'FRISCO PICTURES.
Of tbe animated pictures of the San Francisco disaster, which are to be exhibited on Thursday next by Mr Edmund Montgomery, an exchange says:—"There are no "fake" pictures. In tbe first of the series the picture of a long street is thrown on to the screen. At the far end the fire is raging madly, and the sky is shut out by a dense black pall illuminated irregularly by huge banners of flame. Down the street comes a procession of nondescript vehicles, piledj up with household property, and pnople moving along hurriedly away from the triumphing flames, all burdened with portable goods, besides the burden of woe the disaster has heaped upon them. It is chaos" in all its grandeur. The whitened bones of the city are viewed from a travelling motor-car, which winds its way through the streets, shewing vast fields of debris, where formerly stood lines of stately mansions and many storied buildings. Among tbe contributors to the musical portion of tbe programme will be Mr W. H. Montgomery, brother of the proprietor. The former only recently arrived from London, and oomes with very high credentials as a baritone. EXCRUCIATING PAIJS, Many a sufferer who has long endured the excruciating pains of rheumatism, lumbago, sciatica, gout, and kindred diseases, is now completely cured -a free man. There's a reason. These diseases are caused by accumulations in the blood of poisonous uric acid. Bheumo, the great rheumatic remedy, neutralises and drives out the uric acid, relieves the pain, removes the swelling, and speedily effects a permanent cure. Your chemist or storekeeper sells at 2/6 and 4/6 a bottle.
