One of the recont arrivals fiom the Old Country ty the Devon was founrl by some boys lying under a bush near Pousonby Road, Auckland, suffering from a wide wound in his throat. A small penknife was lying beside him. The boys immediately oommuuioated wiih a constable who whs uear. The man was taken to" the hospital, but refused to say anything about himself whatever. Investigations, says a Press Association telegram, disclosed that ho was one cf the Devon's immigrants, named William Dibbs, single, aged about 25 years. Dibbs appears to have become very despondent since he arrived owing to being alone aud without friends. He is described as a grocer's assistant. His wounds are not daugerous. Dit.
