AFFAIRS IN THE TRANSVAAL.
ACUTE DEGRESSION EXISTS.

The members of Sir J. We9t Kidgeway's Commission .vbicb was appointed to enquire and report upon certain matters connected with the future constitutions of the Transvaal and Orange River Colony, and Sir Percy FitzPatrick, Mr Abe Bailey, and air William Van Hulsteyn, a member of the Trnusvaal Progressive Party's Commission, have arrived in Loudon.
Sir Percy FitzPatrick states that acute depression exists in the Transvaal, due to the uncertainty as to the Boers being able to "put the screw on." The British, ho adds, are not prepared to end their suffering by surrendering their right of having a majority.
