A NEW ZEALAND CONTRALTO.
SUCCESSFUL DEBUT. Received July 11, 9.32 p.m. LUNDON, July 11. Miss Irene Ainaley, the New Zealand contralto, made a successful debut at Bechstoin Hall. The Prince of Wales was present, Madame Melba played the accompaniments. The newspapers speak of the singer in complimentary/ terms, and predict a bright future for her.
