The United States has adopted a resolution expressing the nation's horror at the massacre of the Russian Jews and hearty sympathy with the bereaved. THE DUMA. RESIGNATION OF THE MINISTRY DEMANDED. Received June 24, 4.31 p.m. ST PETERSBURG June 23. The Duma, by a large majority, has adopted a resolution demanding the resignation of the Ministry, and the formation of a Ministry responsible to the Duma.

TROOPS REFUSE POLICE DUTY. SYMPATHY WITH THE STRIKE KS. ST. PETERSBURG, June 23. Thirty thousand troops in the Odessa district notified, through their officers, their refusal to do polioe duty in the event of disturbances. The soldiers at Krasnoyarsk, in East Siberia, killed a captain and wounded a colonel, bnth of whom, while intoxicated, had used their sabres upon the men. The sailors and soldiers in the Crimea sympathise with the strikers at tne ports. The farmers and shippers are in despair at the general standstill of trade. Aliens travelling through Basle, Switzerland, for England, have doubled during the past five months. They are not allowed to quit the trains. The majority are destitute and many diseased. An exodus is impending from Bessarabia, Volhynia and Podolia. Efforts are being made to transfer the people to South America.
