THE BUTTER COMMISSION.

Received June 21, 8,30 a.m. LONDON, June 20. JMr Cogblan, Ageiit General for New South Wales, was examined as the final witness before the Butter Commission. He found the committee strongly in favour of the proposed Bill. Many favour legislation for preventing manipulation. Mr Cogblan stated that blended butter prevented the public appreciating the real quality of Australasian butter. He did not favour Ireland being exempted from the 16 per oentum moisture regulation, and he advocated the mixing of margarine and sesame oil in order to prevent the sale of the adulterated article as butter.
