NIREAHA.
(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) June 19. I hear that the Nireaha Football Club, who were defeated by Hamua a week ago, have entered a protest on the ground that the victors, played an unregistered player. * The weather during thg last three or four days has been all that could be d«sired. When one looks round most of the farms in the district one cannot faelD thinking that most people ate carrying too muob stook. If the winter is severe I venture t,o say that the death rate will be very high amongst oattle. Already the very road* are eaten aa bare as a cricket field. Mrs and the Misses Fobinsonhave left here for Weliingtun, where they intend staying for some time. The directors of the Nireaha Cooperative dairy factory have issued oirulars to a few of the settlers who do not supply the company wi«h milk, stating that if they intend joining the company they will have to apply at once for shares because during last year the supply was almost as much bb the co*npany were able to put through. Should a -certain number of new men join the company additions to th& cheese factory will be proceeded with. The friends of Mrs Christie, Putara, will regret to hear that she Is at present seriously ill. It is. 'earnestly hoped that she will soon leoover.
