The Secretary of the Association, replying to Mr Noble, points out that the Board of Control repre sents the cricket interests] of Australia, as was evidenced by the fact that with the exception of South Aastralia all the governing bodies of orioket were represented thereon. Mr Noble himself so far recognised Its control of international orioket, to assist in eleoting the New South Wales representation. Since the inception of the Association no orioket had been played without the consent of the Association. The players at the time of signing the agreement with the Melbourne Club were aware that the Board would refuse to recognise any English team unless it came at the invitation of the Board, and that they would be disqualified if they played against the team. The Secretary, in conclusion, asks: "If the agreement ia sn clear above board, why have the players kept it a seoret and refused to produce it?'?
