EKETAHUNA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) ' Tuesday. Mrs Halberg, of Hastwells, and her son. who were driving into Eketahuna, met with a somewhat serious accident to-day. Whilst turning the curve in the road near the cemetery the wheel struck a stump with the result that the vehicle was upset. The oceupants were thrown heavily to the ground, and were brought into Mrs F. D. Polling's Temperance Hotel. Dr Chadwiok was soon in attendance and found that the injuries to Mrs Halberg were not serious. She is however, suffering greatly from the B hook. The lad was picked up unconscious. It is expected that be will shortly be about .again. The writer has been informed that this is not the first vehicle that has been upset through colliding with this stump in question. Ab it is a source of danger to the travelling public the Eketahuna County Counoil should take immeiiate atepa to have it removed.
