CRUELTIES IN THE CONGO.
Received June 6, 8.30 a.m. LONDON. June 5. "lbo Court of Appeal at Bomba has cancelled the sentence imposed on Mr Massart, agent for the Abir Company in the Congo on a obarge of cruelly ill-treating natives. The oourt increased the sentence of M. Mabieu, another agent, Jfrom k ten to twenty years.
