WM. ANDERSON'S DRAMATIC COMPANY.
On Saturday night, Mr Anderson's Dramatio Company will inaugurate a short season of melodrama at the Town Hall by producing a new play entitled "The Work Girl." This piece, wherever it has been produoed, has scored an instant and prolonged success. It is only necessary to quote the experi ence of Melbourne, where the play ran for eight consecutive weeks to large houses, to show that it is above the ordinary. Such a testimony to its "drawing" qnalities speaks louder than words. The piece deals with the life of a young girl, forced by circumstances to earn her living in the sweating dens in England. Such a theme of course presents, splendid opportunities for picturesque dramatisation. The authors have not failed to remember tbat there is a lighter side to life, and as a tbe play is brightened by some pretty oomedy work and by a love story. The box plan is on view at Miss A. E. Rive's.
