THE WAIRARAPA CLUB. FINAL DAY The Wairarapa Coursing Club's* May meeting was concluded on the Mastertun Showgrounds yesterday. The weather was fine, and there wast a fair attendance of the public. The coursing was exceptionally good,, pspeoially in the Unils. There was only four "kills" during the During the meeting Mr W. Dowling acted as judgn, and Mr A. E. Miles as slipper, and both positions werefilled to the satisfaction of all concerned. Mr J. Cairns, the Club's Secretary, assisted by an energetic Committee, carried out the arrangements for the meeting in a creditable manner. The concluding results are as follow : WAIRARAPA CUP. The Chairman presented Mr W. H. Davies with the cup, given by Mrs J. Troy, and won by his dogDerby Day. In making the .preI seutation he referred to the fact that this was the first club i'l the oolony that had been presented with a cup by a lady. Mr Davies suitably replied. ' The members of the Club presented Mr M. Taylor with a tobacco pouch. Songs were sung by Messrs. Thompson, Fawcett, M. Taylor and Jerome.
