The explosion wa? heard for miles. The bomb thrower's head was blown off. Four others were killed. Ifc is officially stated that M. Dubasoff had a marvellous escape, though the Moscow correspondent of the Standard learns that he is badly wounded iu the leg, side and arm. The constitutional democratic leaders at St. Petersburg express gladness at the revolutionary attempt having failed. The minority of the party express their exultation and regret that the attempt was not successful.

Goremykin has been gazetted as Premier. The Czar's resoript on Saturday, thanking Count de Witte, acknowledged the latter'a energy and deoision in thwarting revolutionary movements.
