NATIVE DISTURBANCE.
PARADE OF RESERVISTS.
NATAL MOUNTED HIFLES AND CARBINEERS. CONCENTRATING AT HELPMAKAAR. Received May 2, 11.45 p.m. PIETERMAPITZBURG, May 2. Seven thousand reservists paraded at Durban. Ii; is intended to select twelve hundred for service. There are eight hundred Natal mounted rifles and carbineers concentrating at Helpmakaar. The bruut of the operations will fall on the Zululand Field Force. OFFER OF ASSISTANCE FROM CAPE COLONY. Received May 2, 11.45 p.m. CAPETOWN, May 2. The Premier, Dr. L. S. Jameson, has offered to send lree of cost a mule battery and six Maxims, equipped and manned by Cape Mounted riflemen, and also ade tactimeot of signallers to assist in the capture of Bambaata and the orher rebels. The Hon. C. J. Smythe, Premier of Natal, has replied to Dr. Jameson, stating that there are sufficient forces in the field at present. However, if the insurrection spreads he will grat-efully accept the offer.
