In referenoe to relieving destitute Australians in San Francisco, the Hon. A. Denkin, Federal Premier, states that he is prepared to take a reasonable responsibility for theiv repatriation. The Royal Insurance Company has reoeived a cable from its head office, at Liverpool, intimating that the payment by the Company of tho entire San Francisco loss involves no reduotion in the Fire Fund or Reserve Fund. DISTRIBUTION OP FOOD. DAILY COST OP RELIEF £30,000. 200,000 PERSONS STILL REQUIRE ASSISTANCE. Received May 2, 9.22 p.m. NEW YORK, May 2. Seven thousand tons of food have been distributed free in San Franoisoo during the last ten days. The daily cost of relief is £30,000. Two hundred thousand 4 persons still require relief.
