NO HATS IN CHURCH.

A BROOKLYN INNOVATION. At the request of men who say that their view of the pulpit is quite cut off by the hats of ladies attending the Willington avenue Presbyterian Church at Brooklyn, New Yorlj, women have been requested by the pastor henceforth to remove their headgear before the services begin. In making his request, to the fair membors of his congregation, the Rev. Mr Warren Wilson said:—"l know that in his Epistle to the Corinthians St. Paul declaims against women going to prayers uncovered, but it is uoc always possible to run a modern oburoh along the lines laid down by St. Paul. Many of the men of my congregation |>have asked me to dq. this thing, as they could not see'me if they were more than five or six rows bauk. so 1 decided the experiment. I am interested in the experiment, as I believe that in time it will be the custom in all the churches for women to remove their hats."
