MISS ELLEN TERRY.
Received April 30, 9.39 a.m. LONDON, April 29. Miss Ellen Terry's Jubilee was celebrated with extraordinary enthusiasm. She received great ovations at His Majesty's, Adelphi, and Court Theatres. (Miss Terry made her first appearauce on the English stage under Mr Keens' management as the child Mamilius in "The Hunter's Tale," at the Princess Theatre, London. Nineteen years after an engagement to Portia in an elaborate vival of "The Merchant of Venice," under the Bancrofts' management at the old Prince of Wales Theatre, London, set the seal of popular approval on her fame as an actress. Her performance was desoribed as the one bright \ spot in what proved otherwise an unexpected failure.' This was followed by a succession of triumphs).
