CRUELTY TO CHILDREN.
A WOMAN IMPRISONED. Received April 24, 9.46 p.m. SYDNEY, April 24. At Goulburn, a woman was sentenced to eighteen months imprisonment for brutally ill-treating a State child, of whioh shej had charge. Another woman, on a similar charge was fined £l5O.
