Masterton Borough Council, hold on the; 27th March, 1906, a resolution was passed that in pursuance and. exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," and the acta amending the same, the,. Masterton. Borough Council J hereby'resolves as,follows:— ■ 1. That for the purpose pE providing the interest sinking fund and other ibar'ge-s on a loan of £5192 authorised to be raised by the Mustertcn Borough Council under the above mentioned Act for footpath construction, kerbing, channelling, and impiovements the taid Masterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of .7-32 of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value of all ur improved rateable property of the Borough of Masterton, comprising all that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in the Borough of Mastsrtcn, bounded towards the north east generally by the npht banks of the Waipoua and Buaraahanga Hi vers from a point on the said bank of the 'Waipi ua Biver in line with the north-westi rn boundary line of Section No. 31, Mastorton Small-farm Block, to the middle of the Nursery Eoad ; therce towards the southeast by a line along the middle of the said Nursery Eoad and its production to the middle of the Kuripuni CreeK; thence towards thesouthwest generally by a line along the middlo of the said Kuripuni Creek to a po'nt in line with the northv. estern boundary-line of Seotion No. 80, Mania Block; thence again towards the south east by a right line to the northernmost corner of the said Section No. 30, and by the said Section No. 30 to the ncrth-east coiner ol'Seciiou No. 2a; thence again towards the south-west uy the last-men-tioned section to its northernmost corner ; tLence again towards the south-east by Said Section No. 29 to the easternmost corner of Section No. 3 of the said Manaia Block; thence again towards the southwest by the north-eastern boundary-line of the said' Section No. 3 and that boundaryline produced to the middle of the South Eoad; thence again towards the southeast t-y a line along the middle of the said bouth Koadto a point in lino with the aovthern side of Junction Eoad; theme towards the south by 11 right line to and thence by the northern side of Junction Eoad, and by the last-mentioned line produced to its intsrsccLjn by a line along the middle of High {Street, (Borough of Masterton); thence towards the northwest by a lino along the middle of the said High Street to its intersect on by a line along the middle of Solway Street; thence towards the south-west by aright line across Section No. 43, Manaia Block, to the intersection of a line along the middie of the Eailway Eoad with a line along the middle of a road forming the south-wast-ern bouodary-line of Sections Nos 34 to 41, Masttnon Small-farm Block; thence again towards the north-west, by a line along the middle of thb said Eailway Eoad to the intersection ct the last-mentioned line by a line along the middle of Ngaumutawa Eoad : thence by a right line to a point on the right bank of the Waipoua Eiver, _in line with the north-westeru boundary-line of Section No. 81, Masterton Small-farm Block, the place of commencement as described m the " New Zealand Gazette," of March 31st, 1904, page 933. And that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of, such loan, and be payable halt-yearly on the 30th day of June and 31st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being,a period of 20 years and 9 months, or until the loan is fully paid off. 2, 'J hat for tne purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £0,147, authorised to be raised by tho Masterton Borough Council, under the above mentioned Act, for street im provements, bridges, culverts, and urgent I works, grading Mill stream, culverts, piping 1 and extension of watermains for fire ex--1 tinguisbing purposes and installation of electrio tire alarms, the said Masterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5-19ths of a penny in the & upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all the rateable property of the Borough of Masterton, as the same is described in , Part I. hereof, and that such special rate • shall be tin annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and '. be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of December in each and every j year during toe currency of suoh loan, until the Joan is fully paid off. ; 3.
