The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile notify the withdrawal of 40 steers and 30 heifers Irom their Master ton stock sale for April 25th, the same having been sold privately. At the Bannister Street Auction Mart, this afternoon, Mr J. JR. Niool will sell, on account of an importer, a consignment of specially eeleoted goods, which are enumerated in advertisement. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., advertise additional entries for their Masterton stook sale. Those in search of first-class farm properties are again reminded that Mr W. B. Ohennelis will submit at his rooms to-day four sub-divisions of the well-known Lower Manaia property, on account of Messrs McGregor Bros., and also 151 aores at Taratahi, in the estate of the late Mr W. B. Buiok.
OUR RECIPES. BAKED ARTICHOKES. Mash until they are quite smooth some well-boiled artichokes, season with pepper and salt, and mix in a little milk.
