MASTERTON HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.
L MONTHLY MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Mastertou Hospital Trustees was held ia Messrs Abraham and Williams' farmers' room, yesterday morning. There were present:—Messrs J. A. Eenall (in Ihe chair), W. Harris, J. B. Keith, and A. W. Hogg, M.H.R. The Treasurer's statement showed the receipts for the mouth to have been £SOB Bs, f:ud the disbursements £844 llsTd; the credit balance on March 14th was £llBO 2s (3d. and at date £49 18s lid. Accounts amounting to £49 10s 9d ■were passed for payment. The Matron repoited that there were 10 patients in the hospital at tbe last monthly meeting; 17 siuo« admitted, 11 discharged, and one death, leaving 15 under treatment. Nursu Nicholson, who ia taking vid a position in * the Palmerston North Hospital, wrote resigning. The resignation was accepted. On the motion of Mr Heunll, Messrs Hogg, Keith, Harris, Renall and Kwington, were appointed acommittee to draw up a set of rules dealing with the salaries and promotion of nurses. The Treasurer submitted the annual financial statement as follows: The revenue amounted to £1,994 7s Id, and with halanco from 1905 a total of £6,801 5s sd. The' chief items were: Subscriptions and. donations, £156 17s lOd; subscriptions nnd donations to building fund, £493 18s 9d; patiects' fees. £IOO 0a 2d; Government subsidy. £224 3s 8d; local bodies, £327 14s; Government subeidy, £327 14s; interest on deposit, £lB6 lis 2d; p:o----ceeds 6f sale Worksop Road site,, £169 0s 6d; rent of paddock, £8 35b. The expeudituie totalled £1,7i3 7s 3d, the principal items being'.-Salaries and wages, £SOO 4s 8d; rations, £2Bo' 10s; medicine, £112185 d; fuel and light, £9B 3s 2d; commission, £l9 Is 6d; land, £361 8a 6d; nrinting, advertising and stationery, £27 14s 6d; furniture and earthernware, £52 19s 2d; repairs and additions, £4O 9s 9d; surgery, £72 2a 4d; interest and bank fee 9, £4O 15s. Balance of receipts over expenditure, £5,147 18s 2d; assets, £8,356 4s 3d: and liabilities, £7,454 10s 4d (including building fund account of £7,402 18s lid and Maron account of £sl Us sd): leaving a credit balance of £9Ol 13s lid. The balance sheet was adopted.
