MURRAY WATERS QUESTION. Reoeived April 17, 9.45 a.m. SYDNEY, April 17. An agreement has been arrived at unanimously by the representatives of New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia for settlement of the Murray waters difficulty. The limitation placed on the use of water by New South Wales pending the establishment of a system of water conservation works has been fixed at 220,000 cubic feet per minute, and Victoria is limited to 130,000 cubic feet. During the dry months these amounts are to be reduced. The volume of water iu the river channel at the eastern boundary of South Australia must not be reduced below 70,000 cubic feet per minute. Mr Farror, who is known as the "Uurbank of Australia," devoted his life to breeding wheats of greater disease and drought resisting qualities. So valuable wore his researches in this direotion that the Indian Government official used to consult wth him on tho subject.
