RIFLE SHOOTING.

* —— A soratoh matoh was fired at Fairview Rifle Range yesterday between scratch teams picked by Captain McGregor and Captain Welob from, the Opaki and Fairview Rifle Clubs Captain McGregor's team eventually winning by 39 points. At the lunoheon Mr D. McGregor took the opportunity of thanking t h e members of the ' Opaki Olub for being present, and, also, the ladies, for the assistance which they had rendered in making the outing a pleasant one. Air W. J. Weloh, on behalf of the Opaki Club, thanked the Fairview Club for the manner in which they had entertained the visitors. Mr J. McGregor also spnke on behalf of the visitors, endorsing Captaiu Welch's remarks. After the match three cheers were given for the ladies who had provided lunch and afternoon tea. following are the scores:—-
