MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

. * MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the General Coiniuittee of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held ou Saturday afternoon. There were present:—Messrs R. Gray (in the chair), E. E. Chamberlain, W. J. Welch, R. Johnstone, D. McGregor, jnr., T. P. Lett, J. 0. Cooper, F. C. Lewis and J. McGr«3«oi'. The Finance. Committee (Messrs J. D. Cniickshnnk, R. Gray and W. McKenzie) submitted the financial position of the Association as fol lows:—Credit balance, March 10th, ,£726 2a sd; leoeipta of month, £530 os Cd; expenditure, £ISOB 9d Sd; debit balance, £152 Is 9d: cheques outstanding, £274 14s 2d. The report was adopted. A letter was received from E. Coyle applying for a lease of part of the grounds. It was decided to advise Mr Coyle that the grounds were already let. Mr D. McGregor, jnr., moved, and Mr T. P. Lett seconded, that the loose-boxes on the grounds be let to Mr Angus Fraser for the storage of pressed straw at a fee of £5. Carried. The Glengarry Hockey Club made application for the use of a portion of the grounds suitable for playing j hookey. The Club stated their willingness to play on tho upper portion of tho grounj.. On the motion of Mr Welch, soconded by Mr McGregor, the request was granted free of charge. The Secretary of Labour (Mr E. Tregear) advised that the Society had the right to recommend the name of a person for appointment as a member of the Agricultural Implement Inquiry Board. On the motion of Mr D. MoQregor, Mr W. Perry was appointed. The Seoretary of the Wairarapa Coursing Club wrote stating that the terms of the Association under which the grounds oould be ueed by the Coursing Club had been accepted, and fhat the Club would take possession of the grounds from April sth. The report of a sub-committee, reoommending the leasing of the new portion of the ground to Mr J. Billington for the fee of £l2, was adopted.
