FRIVOLITY MINSTRELS.
There was a very good attendance, at the Masterton' Town Hall, last evening, to witness the entertainment given by the Frivolity Minstrels from Napier. A capital programme was submitted. The singing was of a high order all through, and encores were continuously demanded by the audienoe. From therise to tbe fall of the onrfcain there ! was never a dull moment, and, taken altogether, the company submitted one of the best minstrel <*» programmes ever presented to a Masterton audienoe. Tbe first part of the programme consisted entirely of, minstrel songs, ballads ind choruses, and was a bright and sparkling performance. Tbe ooou songs and ballads were capitally sung. In Messrs King, Tudehope and Edwards the company possesses three very flue tenors. The flute playing of Mr L. Hay was. very good. The oomto songs sung by Messrs Amner, Maoassey and Bertie Cook were loudly applauded. Messrs Norman Stevens and Monte Peterson were heard to advantage in uoon songs. The "female impersonator" was excellent, and in a duet, "Sly Musette," Mr Monte Peterson (the female impersonator) and Mr Harold Edwards, had to submit to repealed recalls. Mr Peterson imitates a woman's voices, when singing, almost to perfection. A stump speech, "The Story of My Life," by Mr HarryTankard, was well received. Songs were also sung by Messrs A. Williamson and 0. Kirk, eaoh being warmly applauded. The entertainment concluded with a farcical sketch, entitled, "Waxination Gratis."
