SEAKLE v. MITCHELL. Uy Telegraph—Press Asaooiat'on. Received April 7, 8 p.m. SYDNEY, ADril 7. A boat race, on the Parramatta River, for £IOO aside, between J. Mitchell and J. Searle, both Clarence River scullers, the latter a younger brother of the one time ohampion, Harry Searle, resulted in a win for Mitobell, who led all the nay, and finished a length to the good.
CAMBRIDGE DEFEATS OXFORD.
Received April 8, 4.23 p.m. LONDON, April 7. Cambridge beat Oxford by four lengths. (Oxford bave won 34 of tbe races, Cambridge 28, while in 1877 tbe contest reauted in a dead beat).
