AMERICAN BLEACHED BEEF.
RETAILED AS AUSTRALIAN TINNED MUTTON. I Received April 7, 4.35 p.m. LONDON, April 7. Shopkeepers in Lancashire are cutting American bleached beef in single pounds and retailing it as Australian tinned muttou, thereby practically stopping the sale of the latter. ivlr T. A. Cogbliiu, AgentGeneral for N.S. W., is asking the Lancashire County Couacil to interfere, and has, also, written to the louai papers threatening to prosecute the offenders.
