At tb<* annual meeting of the Rugby Union the report showed a debit for the year of £521. The cost of sending a team to New Zealand was £555. This, however, was regarded as an asset, because it guaranteed the visit of a , New Zealand team to Australia next year. Mr McMahon, referring to the last visit of the New Zealanders, saia he believed there were as good footballers here as in New Zealand if they only put a little more combination and vim into their play. He hoped the deficiencies would soon be rectified.
