TRADES DISPUTES BILL.
Reoeived Maroh 29, 12.40 a.m. LONDON, March 28. The divergent views of the Cabinet delayed the Trades Disputes Bill. The Right Hon. H. H. Asquith, Chancellor of the Exchequer, was the chief opponent to the Labourites' demands that complete immunity should be granted to trade union funds.

THE PROTECTION OF POLICYHOLDERS.

Lord Onslow, in the House of Lords, inquired what steps had been taken to require foreign insurance companies to keep in Britain sufficient assets to meet British policyholders' claims? The Earl of Granard. "The Government are appointing a Select Committee on the matter."
