Mr John Ward, a member of the House of Commons, speaking at Woolwich, warned the Government that the Labour members would accept che excuses uf financial obstacles to the payment of members and old-age pensions for one session only. LAND TENURE BILL. Received Macrch 13, 9.30 a.m. LONDON, March 12 Mr Agar Robertson's Laud Tenure Bill, which is based on the principle that tenant farmers' capital should not be liable to confiscation, was read a second time in the House of Commons by a majority of 253. The Bill extends, cheapens, and simplifies the law of compensation for tenants' improvements. The Unionist press complains that the measure is an attempt to initiate universal dual ownership iu England and Scotland.
