AUCKLAND, March 1. Mr Kettle, 8.M., to-day, gave hie decision in the case 0. E. Emanuel v. William Ledingham, claim £34 for loss sustained by defendant not safely keeping a gold watch and chaw held as security for money lent, which were left in a safe. Defendant lel!t the key of the safe in his desk. The key was found hy burglars, who opened the safe and stole the watch ana chain. The Magistrate held defendant was liable for the full amount claimed, with costs.
