EGG-LAYING.
UTILITY CLUB. CHRISTCHURCH, February 19. The statement for tbe 42nd week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Egg-laying Competition shows that 564 eggs were laid during the week, making a total to date of 27,244, The following are the best totals for .the week: —A; Tyree's Black Orpingtons, 26: P. Pleasants' Silver Wyandottes. 23; J. Mann's White Wyandottes, 23; A. M. Price's Bluff Orpingtons, 23. The best totals to date are:—H. Hawke's Silver Wyandottes, 1,073; J. Mann's White Wyandottes, 945; J. H. Shaw's Brown Leghorns, 940.
