i' • ; Few can realise the wonderful strides of progress made In the manufacture of phonographs and records. Th 6 Talkeries show room at, the coming Show should be visited by one and all, who are invited to hear the wonders created from Thos. Edison's brain. The firm will, on Thursday, the first day of the Ram Fair, show a new phonograph, called the Microphone, which caused a furore when recently shown in Loudon., This is the first of its kind in New Zealand. Its results are 16 times louder than any other make of phonograph. It is impossible to have tbe machine in time for People's Day at the Show, owing to delay in clearing from tbe Customs. "Mr Edison has received a letter from Baron V. D. tJussohe, Charge d'Affaires, at Washington, acknowledging the receipt by His Majesty, the German Emperor, of an Edison phonograph, presented to him by the inventor." Tbe Talkeries carry a very heavy and varied stock of all clauses of phonographs and records., They wish to notify the publio that every fortnight they land 300 rooords direct from the U.S.A. All machines may be purohased on easy time payment terms.
