MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

+ THE COMING SHOW. EVERY PROMISE OK GREAT SUCCESS. The entries received fcr the Masfcerton A. and P. Association's annual Show, on Tuesday and Wednesday next, are iu excess of those received last year, ana must be considered very satisfactory. Although there is a falling off in the number of the entries in the cattle and dog classes, there is a decided increase in all the other classes; this being particularly so in horses, sheep and horticulture. There is an appreciable decrease in cattle, which is partly due to the fact of one or two old and prominent looal exhibitors not exhibiting this year. Owing to the Association having ceased to be affiliated to the New Zealand Kennel Club, the decline in the dog exhibits naturally follows. In reviewing the sheep entries a splendid total in'Romueys is noticeable. If the number of competitors is any oritarion the competitions should be specially attractive this year. In the bhearing competition there are eight entries, in the driving nine, and altogether in four classes of jumping there are 68, including 18 outvies for the championship. Taken all round, the coming Show promises to eclipse any of its predecessors. The following is a comparative return of the number of entries for the last six yaars:Secretary, Mr W.
