MASTEKTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Wiillamß, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock sale as follows: We had a heavy yarding of eheep, a nnicl) larger number than advertised being submitted. At the start of the sale bidding was dufl, bat imoroved as the sale progressed. A heavy yarding of breeding ewes met with good competition, only one of the lines offered failing to llnd a purchaser. Wethers were in rather short supply, the whole of the yarding selling at full rates, as did all good sorts of lambs. Taken all round the sale was the most successful that has be9n held here for some time. Very few cattle wore yarded, bidding being lifeless. We quote:— Sheep: Fat ewes 13s to 13s Gd, 4 and 6-tooth breeding ewes 14s to 14s Id, other breeding ewes 14s, 13s lid, 13s Gd, 13s 3d, 13s down to 12;', aged ewes 5s to 8s (id. lambs, best lis 3d, other rape lambs 10s 3d, 10s, 9s Od. 9s 6d, 9s, store lambs 5s 3d to 7s 6d, cull lambs 3s to 4s Gd, 2tooth wethers (half bred) lis Gd, others lis 2d to 13s 7d, 2 and 4tooth wethers 13s 9d to 14s. Cattle: Forward bullocks £G lis, fat cows £5, 15-mouths steers £2 3s, 15-months heifers £2 2s. Pigs: porkers' 16s 9d to 18s, slips 10s, weauers 6s 6d to 7s 6d.
