DEATH A RESPECTED SETTLER. ' CHRISTCHURCH, February 7. Heavy weather set in to-day. Several North Canterbury rivers are if high flood. Ac Haniuer Springs three inches of raid fell in nine hours. Mr John Coop, of Kaituna, met with a fital accideat last nigbl;. He had been out baying stock, and on the way home, in some way, he fell against the wheel of the sulky he was driving, his neck being bruken. The deceased was most highly respected in the district.
