CHRISTCHURCH GAS COMPANY.
CHRISTOHUROH, February 5. . The special committee reported to the City Council, to-night, that it was desirable for the city to acquire the Ohristchurch Gag Company's property at a sum to be fixed, on a basis wh'ioh would yield to shareholders of the Company an annual return, free of the income tax, and equal to the yearly dividends received during the past ten years.
