MASTERTON RACING CLUB.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of tbe Stewards of the Masterton Racing Club, was held on Saturday afternoon. There were present)— Messrs O. F. Vallance (chairman), O. A. Pow-. nail, A. G. Pilmer. I>. Oaselberg, J. Maoara, J. Cress, J Welch, E. H. Smith, W. lorns, R. Buick, W. Cooper, W. D. Watson. The WairaraDa Racing Club wrote stating that they had resolved in future to send complimentary ladies' and luncheon tickets to each individual steward of a club, and not to send a number of tickets to tbe secretary prior to each raoo meeting. The stewards approved of tbe movement, and decided to act similarly to every olub in the Wellington district, also, Dannevirke, Woodville and Palmerston North Clubs. It was decided- to put the sale of privileges for tbe coming meeting in the bands of Mr J. R. Nicol. Mr Caaelberg moved, and Mr Pownall seconded, that it be a suggestion to the Ground Committee that the present weighing-in raddock on the course be increased to form a suitable parading paddock. By doipg so tbe mover thought that it would allow tbe publio a better chance of seeing the horses, and will help to keep the races up to time. The Ground Committee were authorised to have the inside training track at the course fenced. Two new members were elected.
