WESTPORT COAL COMPANY

DUNEDIN, February 3. Tho Westporfc Coal Company's baiance-aheet shows the year's profits to have been £49,924. An interim dividend of 3s Gd for the half-year ended June 30th absorbed £14,000, leaving £45,407 to be dealt with. Of this sum £9,407 is to be carried forward, and £3,000 added to the reserve fund. The directors declare a half-yearly dividend of 3a 6d pei share, besides a bonus of 3s 6d, making £28,000 distributed to shareholders during the year. The profit on the coal account for 1905 was £43,746, against £49,949 the previous year.
